Vetting and Barring – How will it affect your community group?
The Vetting and Barring scheme will have a major impact on the recruitment and monitoring practices of community groups working or volunteering with children/vulnerable adults. 
On 3rd November 2009, NHCVS welcomed representatives from more than 20 local community groups for their annual Community Lunch. The aim was to help local organisations understand the implications of the new scheme for their organisation. NHCVS Director, Jacquie Hime says “it is vital that all community groups and charities in North Herts understand their new legal obligations.”
