North Herts Community Transport Scheme - Volunteer Driver
Do you enjoy driving? - Have you got your own car and some free time? - Would you like to help people?
Become a Community Transport volunteer driver. Our drivers are from all walks of life, some are retired, or students, or parents with children at school. All have varied backgrounds and interests and enjoy helping others.
We are always in need of extra volunteer drivers.
- Use your own vehicle
- Do as much, or as little driving as you wish
- Choose local or longer distance trips
- Choose days and times to suit
- Meet new people
- Gain satisfaction from helping those unable to use public transport
- Receive a mileage rate payment - All of our drivers are paid a mileage rate to cover the distance they travel from and back to their own home (this is currently 40 pence per mile)
