Membership of North Herts Centre For Voluntary Service

Our Mission is "to enhance the quality of life of people of North Herts by giving the best service to the voluntary sector".

We do this in 5 ways:

• Liaison and consultation with statutory and voluntary groups.
• Representation on and to various committees and initiatives.
• Research and provision of information.
• Provision of services to the voluntary sector, e.g. Volunteer Recruitment and Funding Advice.
• Development of community projects such as the Respite Playschemes and Furniture Showrooms.

Membership of the CVS has many benefits and is open to both new and existing voluntary and community groups. Join us to access:

• Access to potential volunteers through our Volunteer Centre
• Opportunities to promote your organisation
• Up-to-date voluntary sector news through CVS regular mailings
• Information and support on finding funding
• Community Lunches and networking events
• Advice and Guidance on charitable and legal issues, funding, transport, development plans and training needs
• Decision makers - help us to get your voice heard on a range of cross agency partnerships
• Support and Development of new or special projects. An extensive reference library is available for loan or use on our premises.

Members are entitled to nominate a representative from their organisation to join our management committee and vote at our AGM.
